Bad code often has hard-coded paths!
Programmers' joke: "Bad code often has hardcoded paths. I wish this could actually happen." (see the picture below)
A problem with manually updating Flash
Today I noticed on the "about page": http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ (where I usually check for newer version) that Adobe Flash Player was updated from version 11,1,102,63 to 11.2.202.228. Therefore I went to download page for each of my two browsers (you get "install_flashplayer11x32ax_gtbd_aih.exe" installer for IE & "install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe" for Firefox) and ran the installers, but although that so far I never had any problems with manually updating Flash, this time I was getting this "Error: Unknown error".
And it happened when the slider was already at 50%, meaning that the installer that pre-installer fetches (by the way, Adobe Flash is the only program that I know for which you don't get the actual installer, but you have to use their ridiculous installer-installer) was successfully downloaded. So obviously there was some kind of problem during the installation part of procedure.
Anyway, in the end after re-visiting "Dear Adobe, I hate you so much" thread on Ars Technica forum (by the way, it was not me who created it just so you know) I finally found a link to the distribution page: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html with .msi versions of installers.
Hopefully now I will finally succeed in updating Flash to the latest 11.2.xxx.xxx version!

The Pirate Bay 'Get this torrent' link
What's with The Pirate Bay recently that there is no "Get this torrent" (or "Get torrent file") link visible anymore? It's only because of my inventiveness that Iam able to get.torrent files, namely I change the "http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/..." part of URL to "http://torrents.thepiratebay.se/..." (for which I know that it is used in the download link from before) and press ENTER.
Just a heads-up for any potential reader
I finally came to the conclusion that Posterous is indeed a great platform for sharing ideas, links, images videos and so on. I mean that now I pretty much understand how it all works, e.g. which "means" you can use (i.e. through e-mail, through 3rd party services or directly through Posterous website) to post a new entry.
I must say that I was a bit reluctant to start blogging again (and it's true that probably I won't post very often) since I was already quite involved in blogosphere from 2005 onward (see one of my following entries for links to my old and abandoned blogs), but then I simply lost an interest in writing stuff that nobody (well, with exception of my blog in slovenian language) or better yet, so many people actually read.
So for the beginning here is a link: http://technorati.com/people/tadej to my profile page (listing all my "claimed" blogs) on Technorati website.

My first test post at Posterous blog
I am just testing how attaching of images (and other stuff like formatting the text etc.) works here on Posterous.
